But one of them, before giving up his soul to the devil, manages to name the big boss. The unsuspecting man, now unmasked, kicks the bucket after recklessly aiming a derringer at Tex! Some time later, in Montana, while the Cheyenne chief Appanoosa is about to sign a peace treaty with the government, a rifle shot ruins everything. Carson manages to grab Formica Nera, son of the sakem, and Tex asks for seven days to avoid the outbreak of an Indian war.
