Terror reigns north of the Rio Bravo! The Gang of Sea Horse, a revolutionary network with numerous informers, aims to bring the area back under Mexico’s control. Doña Manuela Guzman is the beautiful and rich ranchera who leads the sect with an iron fist: Tex breaks up the infamous gang and Doña Manuela dies in the desert, killed by the bandit El Lobo’s, bullets.

Meanwhile, the Civil War approaches and even Kit Willer joins the Rangers: his first mission, at his father’s side, aims at preventing acts of profiteering by those who are trying to get rich on the back of the wartime events.

The Seahorse sect, led by the beautiful and ruthless Manuela Guzman, conspires to detach the territories of New Mexico from the United States and reunite them with Mexico and does not hesitate to resort to any means to achieve the goal. Tex, Kit and Carson must do their best to defeat the sect and the beautiful Manuela will meet her destiny in the desert.

In this adventure we see again, after some time, Kit Carson, who has now become a Major of the Rangers and relegated to a bureaucratic role of "chair warmer". It will be Tex who convinces him to return to action.

The caravans heading west are victims of an evil criminal plan: the guide Sterling leads them into the hands of a ferocious band of Pawnee Indians and after having thus led them to their deaths, he robs them of all their possessions which then he splits with a wicked Dodge City merchant and the owner of the local bank. However, Tex, Kit and Carson are on his trail and after foiling his latest plan, they go to Dodge City to finish off the rest of the gang.

  • Starting from this adventure, Kit Carson wears the definitive version of his famous fringed leather shirt. It will remain unchanged to this day.
  • In this adventure Kit Willer becomes part of the Rangers.
