Red Arrow (father of Lilith) dies while Tex is far away. When his son-in-law, recalled in a hurry, arrives in the village, the great chief is already riding the heavenly prairies. After attending the funeral, Night Eagle assumes the leadership of the Navajos. Then he quickly returns to Utah, where he discovers that the infamous Brawley of the O.B. Ranch has had Nellie kidnapped and her farm burned down in order to take possession of her lands. Tex gets absolutely furious: Brawley perishes in the fire in his saloon in Adairville.

Months later, Tex and Kit Willer investigate one of the vigilantes that use the symbol of the seahorse as their identification mark...

Kit Carson is too busy to help the widow of an old friend. It is therefore natural to ask for the help of Tex . His job is to save Nellie Delaney's ranch, the object of the shady designs of an overbearing landowner, Oscar Brawley. As soon as Tex arrives, sparks fly.

In this adventure, Freccia Rossa, chief of the Navajos and Kit's grandfather dies, Tex is appointed chief in his place without any problems (as we will know, there will be some disputes later).

The Seahorse sect, led by the beautiful and ruthless Manuela Guzman, conspires to detach the territories of New Mexico from the United States and reunite them with Mexico and does not hesitate to resort to any means to achieve the goal. Tex, Kit and Carson must do their best to defeat the sect and the beautiful Manuela will meet her destiny in the desert.

In this adventure we see again, after some time, Kit Carson, who has now become a Major of the Rangers and relegated to a bureaucratic role of "chair warmer". It will be Tex who convinces him to return to action.
