Some time later, in Colorado, a gang of murderers carries out bloody robberies against John Walcott, honest owner of the Golden Well mines. A couple of Pinkerton agents were killed during the investigation and a ring decorated with an eagle and a thunderbolt was taken from one of the two bodies. Tex and Carson are tasked with shedding light on the murky story.
