It's not often you see a ranger hanging from a tree like the vulgarest of cutthroats! Tex and Carson were aiming for Cortez to reunite with their colleague - who was following the trail of four bloodthirsty bank robbers - but the Knights of Justice, hooded vigilantes, arrived before them. Ranger Regan, wounded during a firefight with a gang of bandits and mistaken for one of the gang members, had been unceremoniously lynched! The two pards, determined to shed light on the crime, suddenly become two inconvenient busybodies to be eliminated.
