Ken agrees to accompany Barbara Huntington Scott, English noblewoman and Times reporter, to Canada to allow her to interview Sitting Bull , the Indian chief who, with his men, defeated Custer (see previous issue, "La leggenda del generale"). It is the encounter-clash between two different cultures, between two different ways of interpreting and experiencing the world...
The story takes place in the fall of 1876.
Ken re-encounters the Indian chief Mandan, already seen in "Lungo fucile" KP 1 and "Pellerossa" KP 26 .
Sitting Bull also reappears, albeit briefly, already seen in "Le colline sacre" KP 31 .
