The 5th Supplement (June 24, 1942) bears the words "ALBO AUDACE n.338 bis" with date canceled: May 31, 1942 and reprints the plates of Orlando l'invincibile already appeared on Audace from n.356 (July 26, 1941) to n.369, the first plates, drawn by Vittorio Cossio, are redesigned by Rino Albertarelli. This book came out in larger format (25x34,5cm) than regular Audace.

Meanwhile, on Audace, from n.403 to n.413, the exploits of Orlando, following the first two special books (here called n.5 and n.6) have taken the place of those of Furio Almirante, who will then be resumed with n.414.

The series, enriched in the same period by some Supplements with the first exploits of the paladin (n.338bis, Orlando the invincible , and n.339bis, The battle of Albracca ) and with a diptych of new 'African' adventures inspired by episodes of 'In love ( n.2 , Alfrera the giant ) and Furioso ( n.3 ,The taking of Biserta ), will later be partially reprinted in the 'Serie d'oro Audace' series, with new covers by Aurelio Galleppini.
