Orlando l'invincibile
Orlando was originally published in Audace from n. 356 (July 26, 1941) by GL Bonelli and Vittorio Cossio which is replaced by Rino Albertarelli from n. 369 (October 25, 1941). The series ends with n. 384 on the 29th plate. It is republished and brought to a conclusion in two giant books of May and June 1942 ("Orlando the Invincible" and "The battle of Albracca"), in which Albertarelli redesigns some cartoons by Cossio both for stylistic uniformity and to adapt them to the lack balloons, replaced by self-sufficient captions. A new cycle resumes on nos. 403/413, 416, 421, 423 and two supplements of September and October 1942 ("Alfrera the Giant" and "The taking of Biserta"), ending in n. 426 (November 30, 1942).
Will later be partially reprinted in the 'Serie d'oro Audace' series, with new covers by Aurelio Galleppini.
