Zagor helps Sheriff Kowalsky capture Frost, a dangerous bandit on the run. Once locked in a cell, the criminal dies under mysterious circumstances. While Cloudy Hill's doctor, Dr. Bronsky, tries to discover the cause of death, Frost wakes up on the morgue table, and attempts to kill the doctor before fleeing. The man is not the first to have "reawakened" after death: in the last few days, two other corpses seem to have emerged from their graves and have been spotted near the town. The "zombies" seem to be characterized by superhuman strength and homicidal madness: they must be stopped before someone else loses their skin. But, above all, we need to find out why, suddenly, the dead are walking the Earth again!...
