L'uomo che sconfisse la morte

An ancient enemy, believed dead, returns from the Underworld and challenges Zagor, claiming that the Great Spirit has chosen him to lead the Darkwood tribes and that his return to life is proof of this. During a dramatic duel in front of all the sakem of the forest, Zagor is defeated in the most incredible way... But there is something that happened in the past that also affects the present: in fact, the Spirit with the Hatchet, before these events, had found himself involved in the fight against a Russian nobleman, Count Zalacenko, determined to hunt down a community of Polish refugees, political opponents of the tsarist regime that dominates their country. What connection do the two events have? Only the tragic ending of a tense and breathless story will reveal it.
