Drunky Duck, the postman of Darkwood, has been tasked with delivering a mysterious letter, which apparently is of interest to a gang of unscrupulous men, determined to seize it. Zagor and Chico, having come to the aid of their Indian friend, discover that inside the envelope entrusted to him there is a coded message, encrypted according to one of the methods described in the sixteenth century by the esoteric monk Giovanni Tritemio, known as the Black Abbot.
