Insetti assassini
The peaceful St. Clair Valley, home mostly to quiet farming communities, is suddenly ravaged by swarms of deadly insects, locusts, termites, and scorpions, the likes of which have never been seen in the region. Where do these killer bugs come from? Who is behind the manipulation of creatures so lethally aggressive and, more disturbingly, so well coordinated? And how can they be stopped?
In search of answers, Zagor arrives at Fort Jericho, where he makes some disturbing discoveries.
He learns that the ruthless Colonel Truscott is using civilians as test subjects for the criminal experiments of Professor Verybad, who has been granted access to technology recovered from Hellingen’s machines, acquired by the army after the battle with the Akkronians.
Determined to put an end to it, Zagor escapes from Fort Jericho, setting out to find the scientist and convince him to destroy the deadly invention.
But Truscott has no qualms about turning the weapon against Zagor himself: a cybernetic helmet capable of controlling insects, arachnids, and other small invertebrates, transforming them into lethal weapons.
