While they are guests of the Cayuga, a peaceful Native tribe, Zagor & Cico find themselves in trouble: the paunchy Mexican is mistakenly considered an Indian, and a gang of human traffickers kidnap him. Sold as a slave, Cico is forced to work in very harsh conditions in a mine with other Natives, to avoid torture and death. Zagor goes to their rescue.
