Il giuramento

On the graves of his parents killed by the Abenaki led by the preacher Salomon Kinsky, the very young Pat Wilding vows revenge. Then he moves away from the charred remains of the hut where he was born and lived with his family, in the company of the trapper, vagabond and somewhat of a philosopher, Nathaniel Fitzgeraldson, nicknamed "Wandering" Fitzy, from whom he was saved on the night of the attack. Fitzy would like to entrust Pat to someone to take care of him, not feeling ready to take care of him: he has reasons, hidden in his past, that push him to live a solitary life.
