The crew of the Demeter space laboratory, of which the Alfa Altuna agent was part, was massacred without using firearms. The only survivors are mice, snakes, experimental bats and Vlad Shreck, a researcher at Stoker University. Nathan Never, charged with investigating, goes to Melpomene and interrogates Shreck who, however, complains of total amnesia.
