In addition to the usual review of the mysteries of the past year, the volume presents a dossier on fantastic, monstrous and mysterious animals. The comic story also focuses on an animal, the dodo: one of Lewis Carroll's favorites (author of "Alice in Wonderland") and an extinct animal par excellence. Nowadays, some evidence suggests that, somewhere in South America, a dodo colony has survived and there is someone who is willing to kill to find it.
