Martin Mystère is called to investigate nothing less than the mysterious disappearance of another "Detective of the Impossible", a television character who hosts a program very similar to his (and which gives him considerable competition). The man never heard from him again after embarking on a sea voyage. Martin immediately sets out on the trail of his "rival", and ends up on a strange island where inexplicable phenomena take place: bizarre disappearances, equally bizarre apparitions, alterations in the morphology of the land, until time itself seems to lose its meaning. Is there an intelligence behind all these events?
