Eminent scientists commit suicide due to remorse for ancient crimes, never actually committed. Mystère is also struggling with a false memory: that of having killed a colleague to take credit for his discoveries. A machination by the Men in Black that almost drives him mad. The story that begins in the second part instead sees Martin dealing with some mysterious beings: a cat and a harpy, coming from an unknown dimension, and a murderer with a "third eye".
