Martin Mystère is lured to a small town where a brutal murder has just taken place. Faced with a letter accusing him, the "detective of the impossible" is forced to confess: the perpetrator of that crime is himself! He had completely forgotten everything, as if that brutal event had never happened, but it was too heavy a burden to carry.
