Lea Dunson, the beautiful client on duty, hires Dylan Dog to investigate the death of her ex-husband, Bertram Watkins. The man, killed in mysterious circumstances, was part of a segment of humanity known as "the collectors". People who are fanatical about all objects: from comics to toys, from film posters to snack surprises. Apparently just a harmless pastime, a game for adults who are still a bit like children, but at the same time also a deadly competition between those who, in order to gain possession of a rare object of their desire, would even be willing to kill.
