The Viking King Guthrum, an old acquaintance of the Spirit with the Hatchet, asks for Zagor's help. The news of horrible crimes, arriving from the coast west of Boston, raises suspicions that the psychopathic seer Starkad, defeated by Zagor and the Vikings some time before, is actually still alive. Zagor, Chico, Guthrum and his warriors leave for the coast aboard Baron La Plume's flying ship, on a journey that soon turns out to be full of dangers... Our friends, fighting against time to save King Guthrum, cross the city devastated by madmen to reach the archaeological museum, where the two sorcerers intend to officiate a bloody ritual in the shadow of the dolmens!
