Having mocked the guards of the Malaysian fortress of the Black Tiger, the pards overcome the traps of an infernal labyrinth and use dynamite to put Sumankan, the exiled prince who wanted to transform America into his kingdom, to flight! Some time later, gathered in a bivouac, Tex tells Kit Willer and Carson about his first meeting with Tiger Jack. The young Navajo, to win the hand of the beautiful Taniah, brings as a dowry an enormous herd of horses stolen from the army, mocking two other suitors.
