The story set in the city of diaphanous shadows ends and a new adventure begins for the Detective of the Impossible. The crew of the Space Shuttle "Vespucci", in orbit around the Earth, is the victim of an inexplicable phenomenon: while passing over Iraq, the astronauts suffer frightening visions. Upon returning, almost all the members of the mission die in an attack. Martin Mystère is called to investigate these events.
