In Rio, Mister No meets his old friend Patricia and, by chance, joins her on the plane that takes her to Easter Island, to study the Moai, the gigantic statues of the place. The two meet Pakomio Fuentes, one of the island's notables, but not everything goes smoothly: Jerry is in fact the subject of strange attacks... On Easter Island, two aspiring leaders face each other: Pakomio and Matua. Mister No wins a competition of very ancient tradition on behalf of Pakomio, who therefore becomes the new Tangata-Manu, or the new leader of the island. But the situation worsens, and Pakomio's men are gripped by a sort of collective madness... In Rapa Nui (ancient name for Easter Island), terror reigns. Pakomio's followers rebelled against their leader and decided to return to their ancient ways. In the cave of Ana kai Tangata (the Cave of the Anthropophages), they will resume dedicating human sacrifices to the evil Make-Make. And the first victim is an American blonde: Patricia!
