At the invitation of Professor Strokov, Martin Mystère travels to Russia, enticed by the promise of an unprecedented scientific revelation. Unfortunately, however, Strokov is kidnapped and, in an attempt to track down the missing luminary, as well as to discover the nature of the prodigious invention that his colleague intended to show to the world, the Detective of the Impossible becomes involved in the dark plots of a self-styled descendant of the Tsar of all the Russias...
