Martin and Java return to Italy, to the lower Po Valley, where unsettling secrets from their previous adventure still lie buried. Today, a series of strange deaths drives the local Marshal to ask once again for the help of Java, the hero of Fosso Rosso. At the heart of the mystery is Luca, the child saved back then, now grown up and vanished without a trace. As our heroes investigate amid the mists and secrets of the swamp, events draw the attention of Cassandra Gould Chester, who has been tailing them with a single goal: to capture Luca before Martin can find him...
