Arturo Solanas is haunted by ghosts. They are the ghosts of his victims. But he too is a victim: the military who organized the coup in Argentina more than twenty years ago deprived him of his humanity, transforming him into a murderous vampire. In fact, among those military coup plotters was hiding the infamous Condor, the Master of the Night allied with Ixtlàn, and with Lord Marsden, whom Dampyr is hunting. The first searches lead Harlan Draka to Madrid, where Solanas is killing his enemies one by one. He and Dampyr have common adversaries but a Dampyr's job is to kill and eliminate vampires
