Marshall suspects smuggling into Mexico and sends secret agent Jeff to investigate. Unfortunately Jeff, who had made Tex join the rangers in the previous episode, is killed. Tex arrives and in a heartbeat of cartoons discovers the killer. He decides to stope the gang that governs the Silver City, and the dance begins: "One against Twenty".
Kit Carson was sent to the Tonto River area to investigate frequent cattle thefts, but he disappeared a week ago. In that zone appeared a gang from Nevada led by Kid Billy. Tex is assigned to find Kit and investigate with Sheriff Tom Link in the town of Springerville.
