Colpo di scena

A thief is caught by Mister Carmady and his wife while he is stealing rare stamps from their safe. In the ensuing scuffle, a shot goes off from the landlord's gun which kills Carmady himself. Panicked, the thief flees, shocked by the outcome of what should have only been a robbery. Since the criminal left no traces and no one witnessed the events unfold, the main suspect in the murder appears to be the victim's wife.
