Nathan Never is called to face a rescue mission on a planet classified as habitable, very rich in mineral resources, but with very difficult climatic conditions. While he tries to rescue his colleague Clint Damon, monsters emerge from the mists that seem to belong to another dimension... But is it really like this? The Archimede spaceship, exploring a sector of space hundreds of light years away from Earth, picks up strange signals coming from an unknown cosmic object. Once they reach the orbit close to what seems like a strange planet in the process of forming, the robotic units stop working and the spaceship crew seems to lose interest and return home. Nathan Never, sent to investigate, finds himself involved in a situation in which it is not easy to distinguish between what is real and what is the result of personal emotions and memories...
