Called back to the Space Infantry's asteroid base, Nathan learns that Major Colonel Ron Murdock, his old classmate, has defected. Colonel Storm, in command of the space base, convinces him that only he, thanks to the relationship he had with Ron, can resolve the situation without bloodshed, but things come to a head when it becomes clear that Murdock is trying to give the Martian government the top secret prototype of the spaceship's propulsion system that he stole... This issue concludes with the mission on behalf of the Space Infantry in which Nathan Never must track down the rebel Colonel Ron Murdock, his old friend from the times when they were cadets under the command of Colonel Shea. Between memories and betrayals, Nathan will have to face ghosts that have never subsided, in order to finally come to terms with his military past... and with a fundamental part of his life!
