How is it possible that Dix woke up in 1906, in the middle of a street, with a bad head wound and was helped by none other than the famous painter Paul Cezanne? It all begins when, in the present day, Jan is contacted by an antiques dealer friend to act as an intermediary in the sale of an important painting created by Cezanne. Dix ends up finding himself in a "circle" of wealthy people who hide profound and dangerous imbalances and who will seriously jeopardize the life of the "Art Investigator".
