The Hawthornes, a normal bourgeois family from Wickedford, very wealthy, must organize a sumptuous wedding between Lionel, the rich scion, and Gloria, a girl of modest economic conditions. The latter has just left Dylan, a little too abruptly, on the phone. The Nightmare Investigator cannot find peace and rushes to the wedding scene to try to prevent it, but, together with Bloch, he will stumble upon something truly monstrous. Dylan shares elegiac memories of distant summers with Jeffrey, Lionel's brother - protagonist of the long episode of the issue, in a moment of break from the hustle and bustle of the Hawthorne wedding party.
