Ian, oblivious to his past life, wanders the Erondár, which is recovering from the wounds of the recent war against the Abominations. The circle of those who know he is still alive is expanding: his daughter Elara; the sorceress Aura, now a powerful “Mistress of Blood”; the Bishops who govern the place where the survivors of the Underworld reside.
