Avventura Magazine Gallieno Ferri
In June 1961, an unusual hero created by Guido Nolitta (alias Sergio Bonelli) and graphically created by Gallieno Ferri arrived on newsstands. His name is Zagor and he is a red-jacketed vigilante who reigns over Darkwood, an immense forest where Adventure, Mystery, Horror and the Fantastic are at home. To celebrate its sixtieth anniversary, here is a Magazine that reveals every secret of the Spirit with the Hatchet, with two unpublished and complete stories and a great Nolitta classic! Why did Zagor choose precisely that little island in the swamp to build his hut on, when he didn't yet have Chico at his side? Immediately after his first appearance to the tribal chiefs, when he showed up in his costume and proposed his role as vigilante, Zagor found himself facing the mystery of an aquatic monster that infested the waters of Mo-hi-la: the Parlangua! When the Spirit with the Hatchet makes his first appearance, in June 1961, in the comic strip "The Forest of Ambushes", he does not yet have the appearance that we will see him take on later. In fact, we see him with facial features that are still not well defined, a jacket with a roughly stylized eagle, and a bracelet on his wrists. Why does the bracelet disappear in subsequent adventures? The answer is in this story, in which the renegade Regan reappears in retrospect: with Kanoxen, the sakem of the Delaware, the first of the enemies faced by Zagor.
