Il ponte dell'arcobaleno
Samuel, Forrest, and Warren Kinsky arrive in Darkwood seeking vengeance: they aim to arrest Zagor for the alleged murder of their brother, Salomon. In response, Zagor summons the Council of Darkwood Tribes, where he reveals the painful truth he is the son of Mike Wilding, the man responsible for the Abenaki massacre.
But the council turns against him. All the tribal leaders, except Tonka and Many Eyes, are under the influence of a drug spread by the Kinsky brothers. Branded a traitor, Zagor is forced into exile.
Wandering in desperation, the Spirit with the Hatchet encounters Jayla, a native witch who sends him into a trance, allowing his spirit to cross the mythical Rainbow Bridge, a path to the Land of the Dead, created in ancient times by Athaska, a warrior who defied death itself.
In this otherworldly realm, Zagor reunites with lost friends: Mohican Jack, Wandering Fitzy, and at last, his father. Their long-awaited confrontation is both painful and healing: Wilding confesses his guilt and reveals his remorse, transformed by death.
At peace with his past, Zagor returns to the living. With the aid of supernatural forces, he overcomes the Kinskys and restores order to Darkwood. The tribal chiefs, now free from influence, reaffirm their trust in the Spirit with the Hatchet, who once again becomes their guardian and ally.
