Zardo

Milan, early 1990s. In the bohemian Navigli district, a woman has slit her lover's throat. Her new man, convinced of her guilt, tries to help by making the body disappear. But the corpse — Zardo — refuses to stay put, passing from one car trunk to another in a darkly comic chain of misadventure. Part noir, part black comedy, Zardo is a story about murder, desire, and the absurdity of trying to hide the consequences of passion. Inspired by Visconti's Ossessione and the Coen Brothers' Blood Simple, it is a tale where love and death dance together in the Milanese night. Written by Tiziano Sclavi (the creator of Dylan Dog) and illustrated by Emiliano Mammucari, Zardo is a standalone graphic novel that showcases Sclavi's gift for blending horror, irony, and human frailty.
