Magico Vento
Ned Ellis is a former Union soldier haunted by the horrors of the Civil War. Wandering westward, he finds himself among the Sioux, who recognize in him a rare gift: a connection to the spirit world that earns him the name Magico Vento — Magic Wind. Adopted into the tribe, Ned becomes a bridge between two worlds that are hurtling toward collision. Magico Vento's frontier is not the sanitized West of legend. It is a place where massacres are committed by both sides, where the supernatural is as real as the revolver on your hip, and where shamanic visions coexist with the brutal machinery of westward expansion. Ned's psychic abilities make him invaluable to the Sioux, but they also draw the attention of dark forces both human and otherworldly. Created by Gianfranco Manfredi and published from 1997 to 2010 for 130 issues, Magico Vento is one of the most original westerns in comic history — a series that dared to blend frontier realism with genuine mysticism and unflinching historical honesty.
