After helping put an end to the bloody tyranny of the evil Duke Raoul, Zagor and Cico set off on new adventures. This time the threat comes in the form of a tribe of savage Indians who, enraged at gold miners who have violated their sacred land, pour out blind wrath on the Spirit with the Hatchet and his Mexican friend. After Zagor frees Cico captured by the Oneida, second part of the story begins where Zagor punishes an evil gold digger who murdered his own partner out of greed.
Zagor has to intervene against some white raiders who steal furs from Bearfang's Delaware Indians and take his son, Little Foot, hostage. Only the Spirit with the Hatchet can free him!
An alliance of chiefs of several large tribes forms a pact to rise up against the white men. Namely "Broken Tooth", the Seneca chief, will acquire a powerful weapons and lead the Red people against the whites! The Spirit-with-the-Hatchet needs to get involved and prevent a tragic ending!
