In Starbuck, a town near Darkwood Forest, Chico meets a mysterious individual who offers him two necklaces (one for him and one for Zagor), capable, according to him, of keeping him always out of trouble. However, in order for them to work, he needs a drop of blood. Of their blood...

But Chico has been tricked! The mysterious individual was Molnar, one of Bela Rakosi’s servants and, with Zagor’s blood, he wants to bring his master back to life. Zagor and Chico, together with Dr. Metrevelic, go to Bergville, the location of the vampire’s resurrection.
