Returning in force, the Spirit with the Hatchet goes back to an arms dealer who wants to get rich by selling rifles to the Indian tribes of Darkwood. Zagor ruins his plans and has confirmation that the scoundrel is allied with the fearsome killer who almost killed him...
The Spirit with the Hatchet in order to foil a war between the Indians and the military, embarks with Cico for a dangerous journey across the lake which due to a hurricane sees them shipwrecked on a mysterious island where one of the deadliest enemies they have ever had to face awaits them...
It is the first meeting between Zagor and Hellingen.
