Ben Stevens is alive! The King of Eagles, who seemed dead following the previous clash with Zagor, was instead saved by Prometeus, a brilliant scientist who grafted the wings of an eagle into the body of a young Indian, making him (in spite of himself, because Proteus is a peaceful man) a ferocious winged man. The boy, nicknamed Proteus, obeys Ben Stevens and was driven to kill Robson's men. He seems invincible: no one can stop him!
