Il bisonte bianco

The White Bison haunted him with omens of death: now the crazy rancher Langley really has the enormous creature in front of him, the sacred beast of the Cheyennes and, as in his nightmares, the rifle fails to fire! The following spring, in Gallup, Carson robs a bank and stabs the manager to death. Then he flees under the eyes of an astonished Kit Willer and, when he falls from his horse, he is caught and thrown into prison without much ceremony! Has the old pard perhaps gone mad? The only clue to solving the mystery is a note, signed with an enigmatic Greek "pi".
