The scholar is now the sakem of the Ghundar, Indians mutated by the radiation emitted by an ancient rocket of reptilian aliens that landed on Mount Rainier, and now the madman threatens the pards, his prisoners. But the disturbing kingdom of death founded by Steiner is destined to collapse! The following summer, the Apaches are about to be deported to Florida on a military convoy: Tex and Carson agree with Geronimo and Ulzana to block the train of shame.

In the High North, an unknown tribe descends from Mount Rainier to kidnap Klamath women and Gros-Jean, owner of a fur trading company in Yakima, organizes an expedition with Tex's help. The group, which is joined by Hans Steiner in search of his father who disappeared years before, is followed at a distance by bad guys attracted by the mirage of a gold deposit, who are however exterminated by shady hooded figures. Having reached the summit of Mount Rainier - among mysterious machinery and arcane rock engravings - the pards fall prisoners of horrendous men scaled like reptiles!
