A fight breaks out in Durango to cover up their robbery, and the scoundrels take flight on a hot air balloon! Tex and Carson in turn improvise as heroes of the air to rub salt in the tails of the scoundrels. Not even storms and lightning can stop them: when the balloons land on the Mesa Verde pueblo, the voice of the colts forces the flying bandits to surrender! Months later, in Colorado, the Durbin gang receives a tip about an unescorted money transport: Rocky Durbin smells something rotten and goes to Saguar to verify the reliability of the informant.
