A powerful alkaloid is the infernal plant substance used by the greedy brothers Ricardo and Martín De Rosales to control the crazy clique of the Locos, drug-addicted robbers who terrorize the Rio Grande with their raids. The De Rosales hide in an inaccessible castle in the marshy lagoon of Los Patos, and the Yaquis of the curandero Quemado - their allies - take care of collecting and treating the threatening flower from which a diabolical hallucinogenic concoction is obtained. The pards, after having decimated the Locos in Bosque Bonito, focus on Los Patos together with El Morisco and Eusebio.
