We meet the young Monique, Diana's niece, whose life is turned upside down by the strange bond that seems to have been created between her and Christopher, a sinister electronic puppet...

The introduction of an ingenious and diabolical device, the Silletca, into the body of Christopher, an electronic puppet, starts a series of murders due to a degeneration of the extrasensory powers of a girl who has taken refuge in Martin Mystère's house. Once the murderous puppet Christopher has been defeated, the action moves to a typical New England town: Claremont (Massachusetts), where the witch hunt seems to have reopened. Under accusation is a little girl named Bea who is defended by a social worker friend of Diana...

Bea, the little girl persecuted as a witch, is truly gifted with paranormal powers but, far from being evil, she is the first victim of this diversity. Only with great difficulty will Martin Mystère manage to calm the irrational fury of the inhabitants of Claremont, thus avoiding a real catastrophe.
