Even in death, Custer continues to be dangerous to the red people. For this reason, General Davis asks Tex and Carson to meet Thomas Farrell, a journalist determined to write a rigorous biography of the vainglorious "Long Hair", so that a more truthful and less celebratory portrait can emerge.
