Tex and Carson bring Pilares a scroll written by an acquaintance of the Morisco, the Mayan priest Uaxán, who speaks of a white man who dominates the Yucatán, passing himself off as the reincarnation of the god Kukulkán. Perhaps it is precisely him that the weapons stowed on board the Moctezuma are directed at! Having arrived in Mexico City and contacted Montales, the pards and the Morisco discover that Captain Raga del Moctezuma is selling Mayan finds to buy weapons. Meanwhile, in the jungle, some bad guys force the Indians to dive into an ancient sacrificial well to fish out precious gold artefacts...

Kit recovers his memory, kills the vile Black Hawk in a duel, while Fiore di Luna, just to save his beloved Little Hawk, dies intercepting the bullet of the sinister Gentry, whose bill will still be paid. Some time later, while investigating arms smuggling in Matamoros, Tex and Carson receive a scroll for El Morisco and find a clue that leads to the Moctezuma ship. They try in vain to search it, but the ship sets sail with its load of weapons: the corrupt port commissioner, in cahoots with the trafficker Johnny Butler, still ends up in hell with his accomplice!
