General Stonewell, hindered by every means by Tex and Carson, renounces the punitive expedition against the Indians and retreats to Fort Walsh, where the wise General Davis, his superior, is waiting for him to relieve him of his duties. Meanwhile, the Sioux leaders, gathered on the Sacred Mountain, are undecided: many would like to go to war, including the fiery Lame Wolf. The rebel thus agrees with the scout Zanoby to have Nuvola Bianca, in favor of peace, killed and to trap Tex. As luck would have it, the clash happens sooner than expected and Zoppo Lupo loses his life!
